Tyne Cot Cemetery

We continued our 1914/1918 history tour today - visited the Commonwealth War Graves Commission - Menin Gate Memorial with the names of the thousands of soldiers with no known grave, The Passchendaele Experience at Hill 62 Sanctuary Wood walking through the trenches - so peaceful now but the scene of a horrible attack in 1916, and the Tyne Cot Cemetery with the thousands of graves so many so very young and many more "known only to God".   We then finished with a walk on the beach at Dunkirk just because we had to. An interesting and at times emotional day.
