Cornflower blue
Blipped this lovely cornflower on my walk into work this morning.
Cornflower or centaurea cyanus (it's posh name) is native to temperate Europe, but is widely naturalised outside its native range. It has been present in the British Isles as an archaeophyte (ancient introduction) since the Iron Age.
Hope you have had a good Friday.
