Ely Cathedral, The Fens

Left home late lunchtime, but still managed to arrive at the M25 just in time to hit the Friday afternoon Bank Holiday Weekend traffic! Crawled our way around London, then, after a quick supermarket stop, finally arrived at M's house five hours later!!

Approaching Ely, the cathedral stood out towering above the Fens in the early evening sunlight... You can see why it's called the "Ship of the Fens"!!
