2017 Thursday -- The Journey

This collage of photos is a group of familiar scenes that I have blipped many times in the past. The road trip to California's Central Coast presents delightfully beautiful scenery that is in a constant state of change, depending on the season. Currently the significant amount of rainfall this past winter has allowed the hills to be gorgeous green.

The photo on the upper right was taken while we were driving north on the 101 Freeway and we are looking at San Luis Bay and the community of Avila Beach. The photo on the bottom is cresting the hill between the community of Morro Bay and our little town of Cayucos. On the bottom left is the view from our side yard looking toward Morro Rock.

It's so good to be on the Central Coast again. This will just be a long weekend; Thursday evening through Monday morning, but the end of the semester is now only six weeks away. Graduation at the college is Thursday evening, June 8th. Then my teaching duties will "pause" for summer and we will hopefully spend approximately 70 nights at our little place near the ocean.
