Breakfast, lunch or afternoon snack?

My littlest left his cereal this morning, it's a non nursery day and he likes to hang around in his pjs as much as possible, playing with his toys and coming back and forth to finish his breakfast throughout the morning.

Today however we popped over to Shelly's house (our Michelle's world as Z calls it) mid morning where he munched on all number of home bakes she had whipped up for her team's pit at 'Ten Under the Ben' this weekend and which we had the opportunity to taste test.

So when we were home at lunchtime and I was making some stir fry for my big boy who'd come home to join us, I said I wouldn't make any lunch for him unless he finished his (now soggy and gross) cereal. He declared it 'isgustin' and went back to play with his toys.

Later still he found this grapefruit in his brother bedroom which had been cut up sometime just after 5am as a pre- swim snack and not finished. Look mum, I'm finishing the left over breakfast, he declared with glee. With a smile as cheeky as that an an argument I couldn't really disagree with,, I relented and gave him half a curly wurly as a post swim chittery bite.

After school we went to our friends house for tea, chat and a play on their cool tyre swing.
