Low water!

At the moment, the Nile is going through its annual lowering. The depth of the river is controlled by the sluices in the Aswan High Dam - it replicates the old inundation pattern, but controlled enough to stop flooding. This felucca, once moored on the riverbank, is now resting in grass and reeds - couldn't resist taking this photo!!
