Calderglen Country Park

There are very few reasons why one would choose to visit East Kilbride, Glasgow's satellite new town (looking a bit long in the tooth these days, it has to be said). Unless one is an enthusiast for roundabouts and underpasses, there is little here to detain the eager traveller.

However, right on the edge of town is Calderglen country park. I have never visited before, and was very taken with the place. This is taken on one of the many riverside walks, just after we had paid a visit to the excellent children's zoo.
