Tete de Course

We watched the exciting Women's Race on the telebox this morning and Lizzie taking on the competition 15k out...and winning, woo hoo!  Then it was a quick lunch and in to the car with my Yorkshire flag.  We drove to Summer Bridge, scouted for a good blip point then used up some waiting time having a cuppa at the local Primary School. 

The main street began to fill as news filtered through that the riders were on their way and then we heard the helicopter above.  Countless motorbike outriders came through flashing lights, tooting horns and waving, then VIPs and team cars and event marshals - all very exciting.

The first four riders at the tete de course were three minutes out from the Peloton and three out of the four were Brits at this stage, so my blip is of them whizzing by.  Exciting stuff for about three and a half minutes then it was back in the car and home!
