Northumberland Day 3 - The Birthplace of...
The Border Terrier!!
What a busy day! Again there were no sailings to the puffins and I was so disappointed... You can see how rough the sea was in extras. We decided to go to the Northumberland National Park so drove to Wooler and on through the Harthorpe Valley. It was stunningly beautiful!
We then made our way to Harbottle Castle ruins in Coquetdale - the birthplace of the Border Terrier breed! Then through 'Vera Country', on to Newcastle to see the iconic Tyne Bridge, and back via Whitley bay...
The day was topped off with a meal at a lovely Indian restaurant in Seahouses. I had a hot Madras - it was heavenly!
