Male Starling in his prime plumage

I just couldn't resist this shot.
  It must be the time of the year and having young in the nes? But they are now so tame.They let me within 5-6 feet of them and just don't seem to care.

    Finally they trust the hand that feeds them? 
   I would never harm a feather on their heads! Do you think they know that now?    lol
