ON HIS TOES

Riversider and I went to Croft racing circuit today to watch the battle for the championship in the MGCC North West Centre - Cockshoot Cup - class A.
This, the penultimate race of the season was fantastic. and the car we were supporting was No. 5 driven by Jeremy Toes - built and prepared by Andy Clay. After a great start and a faultless drive, Jeremy was placed third after a brilliant race.
Following a stewards enquiry regarding the winner of their class, the driver in question received a two point penalty thus upgrading Jeremy and his closest rival. This meant that they were both entering into the final race of the season on equal points. So it all depends on tomorrow.
However, as I am back blipping, I can tell you that Sunday's race was full of drama with Jeremy being nudged off the track on the first bend putting him down into seventh position, not to be outdone, he stormed through the field to cross the finish line in third and, as his rival spun off on the last lap Jeremy won the championship. So congratulations to him and the team for a terrific end to the season.
