Conference

Woke in Devon, packed up and drove back along M5, M4, M25 etc to Cambridgeshire, and then family carried on home and I swung south by train to Guildford across London. Chat to friends, then walked to the Travelodge and checked in. Walked up to the University - a familiar route from previous conferences, and got there at the end of the lecture from BBC Weather presenter Peter Gibbs, the awards followed, and ESRI announced that their software was going to be offered free to all UK schools. This was followed by a few glasses of wine and catch up with hundreds of friends and colleagues, and then a walk across town for a few pints with friends over from Europe. Then a long walk back to the hotel to collapse into bed.... a long day...
