Sliver Line
A busy couple of days hacking back the brambles - encroachment is severe and the stems are enormous and lethal. The wet weather and belated bit of sun has made everything rampant and not having had any wwoofers this year, nature is winning! We are living off apples, blackberries and grapes bu tthe tomatoes are only just turning red and are rather tasteless.
A scoop or two in the pub last night catching up with friends - the Tin Pub is only open for one more week and then closed until next June. And a catch up with Travellersjoy this morning, otherwise all quiet and calm. I fear I have to swing by school tomorrow and report for duty - I think I have 7 and a half hours a week guaranteed until October - quite enough!
Moody skies on the way to get the papers this morning - I kept my eyes peeled as a fisherman friend reported that he had seen over 40 dolphins, mothers and babies, in the bay but saw nothing. What a sight that would be.
I have put some photos of my Beara adventure on Flickr if anyone's interested. The most interesting, in my opinion, are the Hag of Beara and the Burial Place of the Children of Lir.
