Cloughie

We are in Nottingham for the weekend so decided to pop into town to revisit some of our youthful haunts - mostly pubs! This statue of Brian Clough OBE was erected in 2008 but I hadn't seen it before.

One of our favourite pubs, The Bell Inn hadn't changed a bit in 30 years - well, it was built in 1437 so probably best not to mess with it!  Another, Yates's was totally different. In the 1970's it was the spit and sawdust type (very reminiscent on the 1920's when it was built) but is now just like every other Yates' in the country.
We just had to have a tipple in both of them though.
