Descanso Gardens in La Canada, California is set on about 400 acres in a suburb of Los Angeles.  It is know for its Camellia plants as well as most seasonal flowers.  Although I was a bit late for the Camellias the walk through the grounds was wonderful and peaceful.  
The extra picture is a flower I found very interesting, but there wasn't a name for it anywhere
