Day off!

Today I had my first day off in a very (very) long time. It was well overdue.

I read some fiction in bed with lots of tea in the morning. I spent the afternoon gardening (pic is of our newly flowering Madeira Broom, it smells heavenly) and the evening featured nice food and wine. What a treat. The swallows are also back in force today which makes me very happy seeing
them swooping over the garden.

Also got a brilliant surprise from a friend which has made my weekend.
