Hobbit and child

This is our dear friend Dave and his beautiful daughter.
Dave and my husband lived together for a few years and during that time, they both got together with their soon-to-be wives.

There was no question as to who would be Sam's best man - Dave -except for the fact that soon after we announced a date, Dave announced that he and Sall were moving to New Zealand. They weren't able to make it to the wedding but he still managed a best man's speech of sorts which can be seen on youtube titled limping hobbit. The benefit of pre-recording your speech is that you can have a bit of fun with it.

Today was the first time I've seen them since their wedding 2 years ago and this time they had their six month old Abby in tow. It sounds like they're settled in NZ for good now which is a real shame for us but the main thing is that they're happy there. I'm looking forward to hearing Abbys accent when she starts to speak though!
