Not Jonathan's actual birthday, but his birthday party. A distinction that he seemed keen everyone understood. We find that the only way to keep the parties to a manageable amount is to go in with others, making joint parties that halve the number of events. With three children, each in a class of 24, that makes for 72 birthday parties per year, so such strategies are necessary.
