A really great white egret!

Beautiful white egrets have been visiting us in the canal right off the Braden River almost daily. (Our backyard!) Yesterday there was only one egret in the canal, but there are usually 2 . . . swooping & flying & landing, back and forth on either side, competing for food. They squawk at each other and everything! There is a commercial fisherman charter captain who lives across the canal and when he gets home, if he has leftover bait he dumps into holders off his dock. This causes much interest, for birds and other fish. We live in a hoppin' place! This was my favorite photo, but I made a quick Animoto Slideshow video of a dozen other photos here:
