Prone to Flooding!

These high water levels stand at the entrance to the mighty King's Lynn Minster. We visited this Grade I listed parish church during a fascinating Maritime Trail around Norfolk's historic seaport and market town. 

Seeing how much land has been reclaimed from the marshes since Roman times, it is hardly surprising that flooding is a problem. I was interested to see that the third highest level was way back in 1883, long before the threat of global warming.
