Hidden Delights
This is one of the Venetian Bridges hidden in the forests of Cyprus. They date from the late 15th century and until recently were rarely visited by tourists. Now they are in the guides and on the trip itineraries... but not in winter!
We weren't the only people there though. There were 3 photographers taking arty pictures of the rippling water and a group of men who were being shown the sights!
This is still one of my favourite places in Cyprus. The river runs all year (a novelty around here) and, on a good day, that's all you hear apart from a few birds. It's so peaceful and worth the 30 or so Km drive to get there. And there's plenty of bumbling space for Daizy too!
You can walk over the bridge but the only vehicular route is through the water...and the other side is just a dirt track (so we retraced our steps to the main road and came home another way from there).
