Oodles of fun today! We stayed at Granny and Grandad's last night, and got up and out reasonably early. We went to visit my friend Jessica and her little boy, Euan. Katie and Euan played with their huge boxes of HappyLand for ages. She loved it. They did a jigsaw together, snack time and it was home time! They had big cuddles as we left. Really nice play date.

We went back home to GrannyGrandad for brunch before we packed up to go for our afternoon out. Every year, Scarborough holds a one-day Music Festival, the Acoustic Gathering. This was the first year I have been with Katie. We had a fabulous afternoon. She went on a bouncy castle (a lot!), a bouncy slide, had ice cream. She had a go at circus skills: juggling, fire chains (strings, and fabric "flames"!), she did really well pedalling those wheels with a pair of pedals on, a bit of plate spinning. She had face painting - well, she had her arm painted. She wont have her face painted but was desperate for pretties on her arm, so she got flowers, pretties and sparkles. She played with a parachute, watched a puppet show, all to the back drop of great acoustic music being played in the middle of Peasholm Lake. To top the afternoon off, we hired a pedal boat (a dragon that she insisted was a dragon) and pedalled to the middle of the lake, right up to the bandstand and round the lake a couple of times. Brilliant afternoon!
