Carnival!

As is tradition every May Day Monday there was the usual carnival in Ilkley today.
This was preceded by the big parade that comes along the Grove before it goes down to the showdround near the river.
Once again my Granddaughters were in it and dressed up appropriately for this year's theme of Going to the Movies.
Big crowds again and some spectacular entrants.
Took lots of photographs and would like to show them all as it was a fabulous parade ( maybe the best one yet and the weather was fine for once) but l'm always hesitant about publishing photographs of children without permission.
So we went to their house and l took a couple of photographs for my blip.
Couldn't help but publish one from the parade as l know the mum of the girl next to Verity.
Kitty was the young Nala, the future partner of Simba in The Lion King and Verity was Batwoman.
Home now and Mr P is building new wardrobes so l'm doing some gardening.
