Bealtaine

Face washed in the morning dew - check
May posy placed on the front doorstep - check
Visit to holy well - check
It's Bealtaine (technically the 5th May this year apparently) - the start of summer and the merry month of May. The dew washing will ensure continual gorgeousness (!) and the posy will appease the Other Crowd. The well visit was courtesy and curiosity. It had been spring-cleaned, statues moved to around the well, Herself painted and a rather uncalled for crucifix placed near the well.
Tomorrow there are adventures afoot. Himself is flying off to sunnier climes - well, North Yorkshire for a spot of serious walking (mainly the Cleveland Way) and I am dropping him off at the airport then heading off to East Cork for a bit of well investigation. Catch up later in the week.
