Morris dancers
I grumbled to my husband this morning that I wished we had something to do today and wouldn't it be nice to know what was going on for May day. He was at University all day studying, finding things to do is important with a toddler to entertain. The 9 month old is a little more content with, anything basically.
I wandered into Cirencester, to be greeted with the May Day festival - brilliant!! We watched Morris Dancers, saw a band, watched the local dance troupe do their thing (my back now aches from holding the toddler on my shoulders to watch...). We spent a long time at the stall selling wool - who had a sheep and her two lambs with them, I had to explain to the toddler that the boy sheep were soon to be dinner, and that despite his best efforts, she was never, ever going to say hello back to him. The lady on the stall also had a two year old - so she was quite understanding.
These chaps happily posed for me in the park (after an open air nappy change - needs must).
Two very tired boys today - I feel I have succeeded in some way.
