From a Higher Viewpoint
17.0C with lots of sunny sunshine. Hazy too, with thin cloud around. Light to moderate E/ENE breeze.
After lunch I went for a walk. I went round by Aquilibrium and the harbour, then went along the shore side of the park past the ferry terminal. I had been thinking it might be nice to go up the hill behind the town sometime if the weather stayed dry, so on the spur of the moment instead of going further out Kilkerran Road I turned right just before the cemetery and went up the track to the farm and over the stile and though the field that leads to the bottom end of the Beinn Ghuilean Circuit in the forested slopes behind town. Then instead of turning right and going along the lower route up to the start point at the opposite end I went higher up the slope and went along a sort of middle level. It was very nice to be in the forest which is quite open with a few viewpoints.
From the start of the forest walk I came back down the forestry road to the edge of town and made my way home. It was hazy but there were good views from the forest road today over Campbeltown loch towards Davaar island and Arran and in the other direction all the way up the West coast of Kintyre.
