A walk in the wood

Got the gardening done this morning ..... then it was time for a walk!

It was rather breezy ....... but the sun was shining & it was dry!

We went to Westgate Woods ..... as we thought it might be a bit sheltered from the wind ..... well it was in places!

The birds were singing & busily flying about feeding their young ..... none of them was prepared to pose for a blip today!

This Bee-fly (main photo) did hang about long enough for me to get a photo ....... saw lots of pretty Forget-me-nots & also this other fly (bottom right) .... not sure what this one is ..... hope you like my selection :-)
