Limestone

After the snow it froze and we had a slightly chilly night, waking up to put on extra clothes but sleeping fairly well. The tent was stiff first thing and the field white but the early sun soon started a thaw.
Today's aim was to climb Ingleborough, which we did from the campsite, first across fields, then up a lane and finally across open hillside.
As you will see from the extra there was still a fair amount of lying snow when we set out but most had gone by the time we reached the top. We didn't linger but dropped down into Crina Bottom for lunch and then Ingleton for tea and cakes - and great entertainment from some locals.
