Lake shore view
Yesterday I said to CleanSteve that, as Monday was a Bank holiday, but the weather forecast wasn't great, I'd prefer to find a local lake, rather than attempt a trip to the seaside down the crowded M5.
CS left to find a plant in a nursery, and returned to say he'd also found a lake less than ten miles away! According to the weather report, today was supposed to start off better, then deteriorate. So we left before ten, and arrived at the lake to find the sky almost as dark as midnight ! However, after staying a goodly while to listen to, and observe, the bird life, and in my case to go on a circular walk around the estate of the 'big hoose' and village green, the sky eventually turned slightly blue. These are some lake reflections I've played with in Photodirector, which appears to have new features.
In between dodging showers, we managed to have a coffee from our flask on the village green, sitting on a bench next to one of the village ponds. Apart from the large number of 21st century cars, it was as if we had stepped inside a nostalgia themed jigsaw puzzle!
Then we drove home, and the weather turned fine, fine, fine and I managed to wash and dry three loads of laundry!
