Mean and moody ....

A busy May Day . A morning spent next door getting cows and calves ready to put out to grass . The cows all get 2 magnesium bolus over the throat. This means catching them in the cattle crush then holding their head and then placing the dosing gun over the back of their tongue.
The younger heifers are easy as they don't know what to expect, but the older cows know exactly what is coming and take avoidance action !
Then all the calves get a wormer bolus the same way. This releases a measured dose every 3 weeks as it dissolves in the stomach and protects them from gut and lung worm all season.
Took the dogs and Littlemiss for a walk tonight. Spotted her looking thoughtfully at her camera so tonight's Blip sorted.
