May Visitor
I had an unusually productive outing this morning. I had some stores to visit nearby, so I stopped at the local Croydon Creek Nature Center to look for birds first. The Visitor Center was closed and I was the only one there. Maybe the birds knew the coast was clear. I was thrilled to find a Rose-breasted Grosbeak near the feeders. The first week of May last year is when I spotted one in my backyard. Apparently they are only in this area for a couple of weeks in the spring. I have also included shots of a female Eastern Bluebird and a male Indigo Bunting sitting in the wooded area. It was definitely a happy way to start the day.
