Intense day so far.....

Today started off with quite a bang!!! I woke up to a message on the answering machine from someone i have known for about 20 years, but had lost track of and hadn't seen in almost 10 years!!!! Eleanor and I used to suffer thro the torture of many craft shows - she makes wonderful t-shirts - and has actually been in Halifax for the past 6 years!!! she was heading home from Newfoundland and realised that i was here, on Cape Breton Island! anyway, long story short....she and her boyfriend arrived around 10am for coffee and a catch up...and you know how intense those catch ups are!!! she'll be back up this way in a couple of weeks so we'll get together then! But what a lovely surprise to once again reconnect with a friend you knew was a kindred spirit way back when!!!

Then we had our sunday morning meditation with Scott and Rachel (see yesterday's blip!). After they left, i spent almost 2 hours making more pesto! Then ......another person who knew my work from my time in Muskoka phoned and headed up to the studio! Phew....what a day! Finally, had some lunch and am ready to settle down with what is left of sunday, with my book!

This image was created when i was trying to figure out why my flash wasn't working!!!! I guess there was more damage done to my poor wee camera when it got waterlogged a few weeks ago! Not sure what i'll do, i rarely use automatic, and usually hate images using the flash...but they do have their place. Like last night, at the birthday party...i really wanted to get some light filled shots of the birthday girls!!! oh well, i'll just hang in there for the time being, cos mostly what i need seems to work fine!
