Parade
Every two years, the Biennale de la danse takes place in Lyon. During one month there are dance shows nearly every day, at several theatres in the city. This year, as I did two years ago, I will go to watch three performances. That's in two weeks' time. I can't wait!
Today was the opening of the festival, with the traditional parade. Amateur dancers perform along the main street, under the eyes of thousands of people, among whom a fair few amateur photographers! Most of the groups (members of associations representing various areas of the city and suburbs) had made a real effort on costumes and choregraphy. There were also people on stilts and giant puppets, such as the one in this picture.
I went there with a bunch of other photographers and had a great time!
