colours of spring

So much glorious colour now. This beautiful tree had leafed up when we walked past it this morning. A couple of weeks ago we wondered if it had died as there was no sign of any leaves. (Nelly is at the bottom of the picture looking very tiny.)

Got quite a lot of stuff done in the garden today. The dahlias I grew from seed are strong sturdy little plants now - hope I get some flowers from them this year.
