Torch

I dug this picture out from my Canon Ixus that I haven't used in ages.

We all went in to Colchester at 6.30am in the pouring rain. I was seriously grumpy due to a late night down the shed with a bottle of cider or two.

Then....

It was a wet day with lots of corporate bun fighting, but when the torch arrived, even in the rain, it was quite moving. But I remained a bit cynical about the Games.

Now....(this Blip was written on the 9th Sept) from the opening ceremony of the Olympics until the closing ceremony of the Paralympics, from Caliban's Dream to Mo Farrah bursting from the pack, from the Olympic Park to the Velodrome I witnessed an event that will stay with me forever.
