Narrowboat
It's been a strange old day today. I spent several hours of it here on the canal, manning a swing bridge to time out runners who may have been caught out if the bridge was moved for the passage of narrowboats. Then Jenny rang to say her car had been written off by another driver crashing into it. A few scary moments there but thankfully neither her nor Pete were in it at the time. Why do insurance companies sell themselves as being on the spot to help people who have gone through such things when in fact they made it overly difficult for her to sort out the return of the car and themselves back home from Coventry? Well the main thing is that they are safe and well.
