I've Been on a Sleepover...

On New Years Day, David, our host at Lapwing Lodge took us and all the kids out on a wee walk around the grounds of the lodge. A wee refresher for the adults and a bit of edu-tainment for the kids.

We were split into teams and had to spot and name as many trees, animals, birds or insects as we could.

The Paisley hills weren't exactly teeming with life in the middle of winter so a fair bit of exaggeration and imagination seemed to be involved from all teams.

I swear I found tiger claw markings on a tree trunk!!!

This badge was part of the prizes that everyone under 5 foot earned for the wee escapade. Mother-In-Law TFP has even, in true scouting tradition, sewn it onto Bethany's jacket.
