And sunshine! What a braw day, well, except on the vehicle front. Both of our 3.5 tonne VW Crafters - batteries completely flat. Landy stuck in low dif. AA called, his battery booster pack wouldn't even tickle it (the vans have whacking great batteries).After an hour and a half he managed to get them purring along nicely, loads of cables, meters, computers and a few phone calls. The Landy fix was a little less high tech, put it in gear, handbrake off and turn the ignition on and let it lurch forward on the starter motor. Job's a good 'un.

Back to the borders tomorrow, Melrose  for a meeting I fancy. The superb butchers in Lauder had better brace themselves - meat may be purchased!
