Rainy Sidney

P and I headed out on the noon ferry for an evening in Victoria. Fabulous Concert by the Victoria Symphony conducted by Tania Miller. A conductor like no other I have ever seen. She has been with the Symphony for 16 years. Began her tenure with them when she was 32. She is moving on this year, making room for the next leader of this virtuosic group. The evening was one that I will always remember. Bartok's Piano Concerto no. 2 with Sara Bruechner. An amazing talent. A world premier called Field of light by Bramwell Tovey and written for Tania Miller and Sibelius' Second Symphony. Can still hear it all.

We had lunch in Sidney on the pier. This vignette was taken from the window by our table.
