Bee

First thing, I went out with the long-handled nippers and picked up a bagfull of litter round the local square. One man slowed down his car, wound down his window and said "Thank you!" Which was nice.

Then to the allotment, where I sowed some dwarf French beans - had to get out the hosepipe again as the earth is so dry. Saw an orange-tip butterfly which neither of us managed to snap - fortunately bignoniodes had better luck on the other side of town. But there were several bees mumbling the broad bean flowers.
