Sometimes...

...it's unavoidable.

Went out to see the brilliant Lawless. Nice to see Tom Hardy add another interesting character to his portfolio, Jessica Chastain as a backdrop against which you could see the other characters more clearly, Guy Pearce being supremely creepy, Dane Dehaan doing something after Chronicle and Mia Wasikowska on screen again. Most of all, it was great to see Shia Leboeuf not be annoying. The script and direction managed to create an emotive film without requiring much from the cast but none of them stumbled. I really enjoyed it.

Then came back and watched the also brilliant Tracker. Ray Winstone as a South African tracking an innocent man across New Zealand, shortly after the Boer War.
