The Waterfowl Classic

The final heat of the Waterfowl Classic was held at Cussen Park today. Here we have the Egret, the Heron and the Moorehen fighting it out for the Cussen Crown.

I wandered through the wetlands this afternoon, but the water level was low and these birds were able to run or walk through the water with ease.  Once the idea of the race hit me I couldn't let go. Sorry!
The extras are a couple of other birds I captured as I walked around. An Eastern Rosella and a female Magpie
