A Modern Version of An Old Cracked Bird
What do you do when you're a desperate blipper? Panic, cross your fingers and hope for the best.
I thought I would take some shots of a terra cotta Gambel Quail, sitting on the stones with an ocotillo background in my neighbors' backyard this morning. I figured I had a perfect idea for a nice composition. I took dozens of shots, all low to the ground, without looking through the viewfinder.
That's all I shot. The clouds moved in and it's been rainy and gloomy all day. I haven't even gotten dressed. One of those days not even worth it.
When I uploaded the pictures a few minutes ago, not a single one was blip-worthy! Yikes! There was one, sitting in the stones, all by itself, however.
I had recently downloaded Picasa and used it the first time on yesterday's blip. Today, I couldn't just put up a plain pot-looking thing sitting on the stones, so I kept playing with the Picasa until I got something interesting and different.
So this is what I ended up with. A modern version of an old, cracked, terra cotta lawn decoration. I wonder if Bill and Barb would recognize it?
