Home Run!

An unexpected chance to watch the Hanshin Tigers B team play at Koshien Stadium this afternoon. Arthur wanted to use up his medals at the game centre in Aeon, but as we were passing Koshien Stadium I saw a banner which read, "E.C.C. Day." I asked what that meant and was told that from the seventh inning the premium seats would be free. So we queued for a while until the seventh inning started and then we went in and found really good seats near the front between the home plate and first base. The Tigers seemed to have no chance against Hiroshima when they took their place at the bottom of the ninth at 6-2 down. However, they did set up a tremendous chance with a man on each base and only one man out. Unfortunately, they were unable to capitalise on this chance and Hiroshima won 6-3.

The A team, however, did better in Tokyo against Yakult. They won 7-1.
