Thistles

This was taken from further up the top road than last evening's iPhone snap. These thistles were looking particularly prickly and purple.

I have enjoyed a relatively relaxed day today, which is more than can be said for my pupils. For some, at least, the truth is beginning to dawn on them that their exams begin in earnest next week.
