The Shinglehooks

Matt Baker

I was alerted to these by a mate on Instagram the other day.  Designed as "a place to wait for the arrival of an alluvial land bridge growing across the loch from the opposite shore, a process begun following the last ice age and that may take another 10,000 years to complete".

It all makes perfect sense.

Managed a bit of work this morning and a bit later on, but the weather was just too good and I couldn't resist a mini road trip and a walk with Kylie along St Mary's Loch to go hunt for these. Worth it I think.
