St Andrews Beach

A trip to St Andrews today on what must have been one of the busiest days of the year. We hadn't bargained on the arrivals of hundreds of students and families descending on this small Scottish town.

To get away from the thronging masses we took to the West Sands where we watched the sand yachts do their thing. I have about 185 pictures of them but I found this little tuft of rope sticking out the sand more intriguing.
