Drought?

The top two pics are at just after 13:00 with a burst pipe bubbling away under the tree on our pavement.

Now, you might think that with water being at a premium in Africa, there would be a rush to stop the thousands of liters of water swamping our garden, flooding the garage and playing havoc in the properties of our neighbours below us.

Well no, the bottom two pics are over nine hours later when another pipe has popped higher up and we have given up even trying to keep any of it under control.

We now have a JCB digging up what is left of the plants on the pavement. Let's hope there is not a wayward swipe that results in the wall coming down too.
