Matt & Molly

My mate Matt got engaged to Molly in October and they get married on April 4th this year (hurrah!)

Matt has traditionally hosted a pre-Christmas gathering on the first weekend in December, which involved cooking full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings and home-made Christmas pud for 12-16 people. Not-so-secret Santa with a massive budget of £3, a picture and music quiz (multiple rounds) and fireworks were always features of the event too. Last year (after knowing Matt for ~4 months), Molly joined him for the first time on this mammoth task and it obviously didn't put her off.

This year, one of his friends was getting married at the beginning of Dec over in the USA, so tradition was broken and it was bangers, mash, onion gravy and ace roasted veggies. The Christmas pudding had been made pre-December-plan-change, so that was still there as dessert and Santa still appeared, with a white woolly scarf wrapped round his chops as the beard had gone walkies since last year. Molly, myself and Sarah joined together to do abysmally in the quiz. Lots of fun :-)
