Before leaving Oaxaca I made my first warp for my next weaving. When I began to make the heddle (next step) the warp got quite unruly and upon sending my teacher in Mexico a photo and explanation of what happened, she said I should trash my first effort and start over.
YIKES!
Totally due to the help of Laverne's tutorials at backstrapweaving.com I was able to restart the warp (also due to my husband making these wooden warp pegs). This is the cross, or center part of the warp, which seems to be the control center of the whole project. If this part is screwed up, all is lost.
Thank you Laverne.
